👸 Nails
BIAB (Builder in a Bottle)
A gel overlay applied directly onto your natural nail to strengthen and lengthen it without acrylic or tips. It looks and feels like a natural nail, and typically lasts 3–4 weeks before needing a refill.
Gel polish
Regular polish cured under UV/LED light for a chip-resistant finish. Lasts 2–3 weeks and is easier to remove than BIAB or acrylic — a good choice if you switch colours often.
Acrylic
A liquid-and-powder mix sculpted over the nail or a tip extension. The strongest option for length and durability, popular for nail art, but requires more careful removal (soaking, not peeling).
Dip powder
Nails are dipped into coloured powder and sealed with a top coat instead of being cured under UV light. Durable like acrylic, lighter in feel, and removal is soak-off rather than filing down.
Russian manicure
A precision, mostly-dry technique for cuticle work using an e-file, giving an especially clean, long-lasting finish — often paired with BIAB or gel polish.
Nail art
Hand-painted designs, chrome finishes, or 3D embellishments added on top of any base — usually priced per nail or as a full custom set.
Pedicure
Ranges from a classic pedicure (soak, shape, polish) to a medical pedicure for calluses and ingrown nails, performed with clinical tools rather than standard salon equipment.
✂️ Hair
Cut & style
Includes a consultation, wash, cut, and blow-dry. Most salons recommend a trim every 6–8 weeks to keep ends healthy.
Colour
Full colour changes the entire head; balayage and highlights lighten sections for a more natural, sun-kissed look and grow out less noticeably. Colour typically needs a touch-up every 6–10 weeks depending on technique.
Keratin & smoothing treatments
A protein-based treatment that reduces frizz and cuts down blow-dry time for 2–4 months. Not the same as a perm — it relaxes the hair rather than restructuring the curl pattern.
Extensions
Tape-in, weft, or keratin-bond extensions add length or volume. Tape-ins are the quickest to apply and remove; bonded methods last longer but need more maintenance.
👒 Barber
Classic cut & fade
A tailored haircut with clippers and scissors, from a simple trim to a precision skin fade — usually rebooked every 2–4 weeks to keep the shape sharp.
Beard grooming & hot towel shave
Beard trims shape and line up growth; a traditional hot towel shave uses steam and straight-razor technique for the closest possible finish.
Kids' cuts
Many barbers offer a dedicated kids' service — same cut options, shorter appointment, and a more relaxed pace.
🥴 Skin & Facials
Classic facial
Cleanse, exfoliate, mask, and moisturise — a good baseline treatment for general skin health, usually 45–60 minutes.
Chemical peel
An acid solution removes the outer layer of skin to improve texture and tone. Peels range from light (little downtime) to deep (several days of visible peeling) — your therapist will match strength to your skin.
Microneedling
Fine needles create controlled micro-injuries to stimulate collagen production, often used for scarring or fine lines. Expect mild redness for 1–2 days afterward.
Dermaplaning
A blade gently removes dead skin and peach fuzz for an instantly smoother, brighter finish — no downtime, safe to repeat every 3–4 weeks.
📶 Hair Removal
Laser hair removal
Laser targets hair follicles in the growth phase, so most areas need 6–8 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart for lasting results, since not all hairs are in the same growth phase at once. Results vary by hair and skin type — a consultation before your first session is standard.
Waxing
Hot or strip wax removes hair from the root, lasting 3–5 weeks — a good short-term option or a starting point before committing to laser sessions.
IPL & electrolysis
IPL (intense pulsed light) works similarly to laser but with broader-spectrum light, often at a lower price point. Electrolysis treats hair follicle by follicle and is the only method that's genuinely permanent, though it takes many more sessions.
💍 Lashes
Classic extensions
One extension applied per natural lash for a subtle, mascara-like effect.
Volume extensions
Multiple ultra-fine extensions fanned onto each natural lash for a fuller, more dramatic look. Both styles need infills every 2–3 weeks as natural lashes shed.
Lash lift & tint
Your natural lashes are curled and tinted rather than extended — a lower-maintenance option that lasts 6–8 weeks with no infills required.
🥥 Brows
Threading and waxing shape the brow by removing hair; threading is gentler on sensitive skin. Brow lamination restyles the hairs themselves into a fuller, more uniform shape and lasts 4–6 weeks.
Tinting
Semi-permanent dye darkens sparse or light brows, often paired with shaping — lasts 3–4 weeks.
Microblading & brow tattoo
A semi-permanent technique that deposits pigment into the skin in fine, hair-like strokes to fill in sparse brows. Results last 1–3 years and require a touch-up to stay sharp.
💧 Massage & Spa
Swedish massage
Lighter, flowing strokes aimed at general relaxation and circulation — the most common starting point if you're new to massage.
Deep tissue & sports massage
Firmer pressure targeting muscle tension, better suited to chronic tightness or recovery after activity. Sports massage often focuses on specific muscle groups relevant to your training.
Hot stone
Heated stones are used alongside massage strokes to relax muscles more deeply before manual work begins.
Reflexology
Targeted pressure applied to points on the feet (or hands/ears) believed to correspond to other parts of the body — typically done fully clothed, no oils required.
🌞 Tanning
Spray tan
A fine mist of DHA-based solution is applied to develop a tan over several hours without UV exposure. Results last 5–10 days and fade gradually like a natural tan.
💄 Makeup
Everyday & event makeup
A full face application tailored to the occasion — subtler for daytime events, more dramatic and longer-wearing for evening.
Bridal trial
A practice session ahead of a wedding to finalise the look before the big day, usually booked 4–8 weeks in advance.
